If you know anything about the vandalism of the Williamson County Confederate Monument, a reward is being offered.
The Williamson County Grays, Camp #502, is a proud camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV), dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of Confederate soldiers from Texas and beyond. While our name reflects our Williamson County roots, our mission extends into Burnet County and Lee County, where we work to honor, research, and maintain the memory of Confederate veterans buried in these areas.
Our camp follows the charge given by Lt. Gen. Stephen D. Lee, ensuring that the sacrifices, principles, and legacy of the Confederate soldier are never forgotten. We work to:
Defend and protect Confederate monuments from those who seek to erase history.
Restore and maintain the graves of Confederate veterans in Williamson, Burnet, and Lee Counties.
Research and document the lives of Confederate soldiers who lived and fought for Texas.
Educate the public about the real history of the War Between the States through presentations, living history events, and publications.
Support our community by participating in historical commemorations, Confederate History and Heritage Month observances, and outreach initiatives.
The Sons of Confederate Veterans is a lineage-based organization, meaning membership is open to men who can trace their ancestry to a Confederate soldier or officer. However, our camp welcomes all who support the preservation of Southern heritage and history. Whether through research, preservation efforts, or defending our monuments, we work together to ensure that future generations understand the truth about their ancestors.
The Williamson County Grays, Camp #502, is more than an organization—it is a brotherhood committed to honoring the past and securing the future of our shared heritage.
⚔ Join us in our mission to preserve the truth of Texas Confederate history!
