Welcome to the official website of the Williamson County Grays, Camp #502, based in Georgetown, Texas. As a proud camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, we are dedicated to preserving the history, heritage, and legacy of the Confederate soldier. Through historical research, monument and grave preservation, educational outreach, and community engagement, we ensure that the sacrifices of our Southern ancestors are never forgotten.
The Confederate soldier fought with honor, courage, and loyalty to his home state of Texas. His legacy deserves to be remembered and respected. The Williamson County Grays stand at the forefront of efforts to protect Confederate monuments, maintain historic cemeteries, and educate future generations about the true history of the South.
Monument Preservation – Protecting and defending the Confederate Monument on the Georgetown courthouse square, which has been under attack by those who seek to erase history. Our camp has stood watch over this monument every Saturday for over four years.
Grave Restoration – Cleaning, repairing, and marking the graves of Confederate veterans in Williamson County and surrounding areas.
Educational Outreach – Hosting speakers, publishing research, and sharing historical facts to combat misinformation.
Living History & Events – Participating in memorial services, reenactments, and Confederate History and Heritage Month observances.
